Flower Arrangement Workshop

A workshop on Flower Arrangement was conducted by the Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration on 16th February 2024 at the Cenacle, Academic Block V with an aim to create awareness among hospitality students the importance of flowers in enhancing the beauty of a place.

Ms. Soma Lyngdoh, Assistant Professor at the Department started the session with a brief explanation on different elements and materials required in an aesthetic floral arrangement including flowers, containers, wrapping materials, baskets etc.

This was followed by a demonstration of various flower arrangement styles and techniques by Mr. Sabyasachi Banerjee and Ms. Soma Lyngdoh giving hands-on practice to the participants and some arrangements were prepared as hands on practice by the students.

Students of BSc Hospitality 6th Semester and 2nd Semester took part in the workshop along with some students from other departments.
